Study Design provides high-quality, expert Academic support to help students with a wide range of needs to help them achieve their academic goals.

Our staff are dynamic, engaging and inclusive and can help a wide range of individuals achieve their goals with academic skills and mental health support and mentoring - the team at Study Design will help you get there.

Whether your support meets Disabled Students’ Allowances (DSA) criteria, is being funded by an academic institution or is funded privately, we can provide a support package that is individually tailored to suit the needs of each student we work with. We receive student referrals from being approved as a DSA Registered Provider on the Department for Education List with DSA.
We are happy to receive referral work from Needs Assessors, Individuals, Open University, Colleges and Universities, the NNAC website provides more details on this.

Approachable, friendly tutors
Our tutors specialise in working with undergraduate and post graduate degree students. Our tutors have extensive experience of the higher education environment – including university tutors – and they hold specialist specific learning difficulties qualifications.
Flexible Session Times
Regular weekly slots are available, in person, but we also offers sessions flexibly on an ‘as and when’ basis. We often have slots available at short notice for when deadlines are looming.

We will soon offer an online booking system on this website but in the meantime booking requests can be made by telephone or email.
Individual Learning Plans
An Individual Learning Plan and Learning Agreement ensure that support is tailored to your individual needs and to provide a framework for sessions.
Online Support Available
when you can’t make it in person or if you live elsewhere in the country, we offer online one-to-one support.

This has proven a useful alternative to in-person meetings, especially during the recent Covid-19 lockdowns.
DBS Checked & Insured
Our tutors are DBS-checked, insured and first aid trained.

DSA Funded Support

You can apply for DSA (Disabled Students’ Allowance) if you live in England and have a disability that affects your ability to learn, such as a:

• learning difficulty, for example, dyslexia or ADHD
• long-term health condition
• mental health conditions like anxiety or depression
• physical disability
DSA support is available to:
• undergraduate or postgraduate students (including distance learning)
• individuals who qualify for student finance from Student Finance England
