DSA Funded Support

Disabled Students' Allowances (DSA) are grants that help to pay for extra equipment and support students may need when studying at a higher education level. Typically, DSA is awarded as a direct result of a disability, on-going health condition, sensory impairment, mental-health condition or specific learning difficulty.

To apply for DSA support students should first register with student finance online. Once registered, a DSA application can be made. Once your application has been received, students will need to attend a needs assessment whereby an independent third-party assessor will discuss what extra support would be of benefit based on the individual needs of the student. Student Finance will then select the support provider(s) from a list that has been identified by the needs assessor.

Study Design supports thousands of students who are in receipt of DSA each year. We are academic support specialists and one of the most popular and in-demand support providers in the UK. For more information on how to register for Study Design support, please visit our student section.

Institution Funded

Institution Funded Support

Not all students are eligible for government funded academic support. Therefore, many institutions invest their own money to ensure there is sufficient support accessible to students that fail to meet funding criteria.

Study Design can work closely with education institutions to accommodate all their support requirements, tailoring bespoke support package.  We are happy to receive direct referrals from institutions and organisations with larger support needs.

Privately Funded Support

Privately Funded Support

We offer privately funded support that is typically provided to international students who are unable to gain otherwise funded support, and to other students to help them achieve the grades they need to secure their academic and professional futures.

All of our privately funded academic support can be conducted in-person or remotely. If remote support is preferred, privately funded students can use many widely available virtual platforms.
